Poem by Alice Green (7HIW)

Why is it so hard to take home your litter

You’re harming our oceans, our seas, our critters

Spreading plastic like butter on toast

But in reality it’s ruining our coasts

Choking our animals were supposed to protect

But the truth is, I’m going to detect

We’re murdering them, our environment too

Why we do it, I haven’t a clue

Our selfish acts harm our world

And now the truth will be unfurled

We choose to be ignorant against the fact

But sooner or later we’ll witness the impact
