Sonnet for the Sea by Caleb Lindsay

We have lost the green in our great planet

By chopping down the trees in our forests

We use fossil fuels to dig up granite

We make the planet’s climate the warmest

We have lost the fishy towns

Due to our never – ending littering

Crystal clear water now polluted brown

The silver fish no longer glittering

We have lost the white in our bright blue skies

The ozone layer is being destroyed

Should we leave such a mess are we so wise

We eat birds so the birds are just grabbed

We shall not let it happen we don’t allow

We need to take further action right now
