Vida Toxia by Betsy-Willow Eley

Plastic lungs and heart

inhaling toxic death

heaps of plastic waste.

Stomach clogged with trash

churning and rumbling sounds

still moving onwards.

Caught in deaths own trap

wires stringing together

toxic bones they hang.

Wires cling to life

mysterious creatures lurk

in darkness they hide.

Dead on the inside

silence is suffocated

oceans lay empty.

Plastic like ice

covering our ocean

a plastic scum line.

Creatures ingesting

taken from life by our waste

poor creatures in pain.
